(AP) As of Saturday, March 5, 2005, at least 1,507 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The Italian intelligence officer who negotiated her freedom was hit by the gunfire and died in her arms.
