5:10 PM As of Wednesday, Dec. 31, 478 U.S. service members have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq, according to the Defense Department. Of those, 327 died as a result of hostile action and 151 died of non-hostile causes, the department said. The department did not provide an update Thursday. |
