BAGHDAD (AP) Othman al-Safi and his wife left her diamond wedding ring behind when they fled their home two years ago to escape the violence tearing apart the Iraqi capital. They intended for it to be their link to their beloved Baghdad and a reason to return one day. But that connection was severed for good last week when al-Safi returned on a brief visit home. He found Baghdad had only gotten worse in the two years since his family fled with the city rapidly and violently breaking up along sectarian lines.
